Address: Unit 3,
Ballywaltrim Business Park
Bray, Co Wicklow

Counties available for apprenticeships: Dublin,

Apprenticeship Type: Pipefitting Plastering,

Details:
The apprenticeship works as follows; there are 7 phases, for phases 1,3,5 and 7 you work for an employer for example ourselves and for the other three phases you would be in college.
To start working on any building site you need to do two courses: Safe Pass (one day) and Manual Handling (half day). The safe pass needs to be renewed after 4 years, the manual handling after 3 years.
Your own transport would be very useful yet as public transport does not always get to all sites we work on, we do not provide transport. Some of the guys share lifts but they work that out themselves.
In our company the apprentice would work with a very experienced plasterer, within a team of 2 to 6 operatives, on various sites around the country. We specialise in conservation plasterwork, so apprentices will learn specialist skills. Payment is the Construction Industry Federation apprentice rates.
