Details: PROFILE Someone who thinks positively and works well under pressure. Working to deadlines and targets brings out the best in me. Once I involve myself in a task I see it through to the highest standard I can and see all my work as a reflection on me as well as my employer. CAREER HISTORY Floor Manager – Happy Family Foods March 2009 - 2014 To put in place a plan and tracking system which carries out training on current staff to encourage growth and development, while also ensuring that weekly assessments are carried out ensuring staff are carrying out the job correctly. New employees must be trained quickly and correctly using the Training Squad. It is the role of the floor manager to track the work being carried out by the training squad and carry out spot checks to ensure staff are being trained correctly. The floor manager is responsible for tracking this training and reporting on individual needs of employees and the training squad. The manager carries out monthly meetings with the training squad, testing knowledge and providing feedback on the work done the previous month. Each month the manager must provide and update to the store manager or to all managers at the monthly managers meeting. The floor manager works with the shift manager which involves running the store for a nine hour period and being responsible for every aspect of the store, cash, food quality, cleanliness, staff breaks etc. Sinn Féin Ireland August 2014 - Present Area Political Organiser The role of the area political organiser is to develop and grow the strength of the Sinn Féin organisation in an assigned constituency. As part of this role the organiser is responsible for managing the volunteer activists along with elected representatives in that constituency to achieve the desired political objectives. During my time as area political organiser for Dublin Bay North and Dublin North West both constituencies were prepared and organised well enough that they won Dáil seats for Sinn Féin in the 2016 General election. National Membership Officer Following on from my role as area political organiser I was promoted to a national post within Sinn Féin. The national membership officer is responsible for drafting and overseeing the national recruitment strategy of the party ensuring membership growth targets are met across the thirty two counties. This role involved travelling across the country, communicating with area organisers and local activists to ensure that local area recruitment plans were in place and being rolled out. Director of Administration The director of administration is one of a number of director roles within the Sinn Féin party including director of publicity, national chairperson, director of elections and general secretary. Each director is responsible for the day to day running of the party and its various departments right across the island. The directors meet every second week to ensure that any management issues within the party are dealt with and regularised across the island. This role includes being responsible for organising the logistics of the party’s annual meeting (Ard Fheis) which can attract in excess of 2000 people each year. As part of my role I was responsible for the party’s online fundraising campaign during the recent assembly elections in the North as well being responsible for the party’s internal communications systems and strategy. I founded a new GAA club in Dublin 15 in 2015, Tolka Valley Harps GAA. During the initial season I coached and played for our adult football team as well as coaching the nursery kids every Saturday morning. Soccer is another passion of mine but time only allows for watching it at the moment which as a Liverpool FC fan can be hard at times. 2) Volunteering Being passionate about politics also means being passionate about your local area. For the last three years I have been chairperson of the Corduff Grove & Park residents association helping to maintain and develop the estate while organising community events such as family fun days etc. Since founding Tolka Valley Harps in 2015 I have been elected Chairperson for the past two years and was recently elected Chairperson again this year.
